The Role

Our client is seeking an experiencedInflation Fixing Quantitative Analystto join the build out of their macro alpha capture business. This role will focus on developing models to forecast inflation indices, directly supporting the firm's pricing, risk management, and investment strategies for inflation-linked products.


The team trades a combination of rates options, swaps, bonds, liquid and illiquid strategies with a preference for exotics.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine predictive models for inflation indices using historical data, market trends, and alternative datasets.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to utilize fixing models in pricing and trading strategies.
  • Conduct backtesting and validation of models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Support the development of frameworks for predicting inflation in developed and emerging markets, with a focus on key economic trends.
  • Track towards developing alpha strategies with capital allocation


Candidate Profile

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Financial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years in a buy side or leading sell side institute working on Rates or Inflation.
  • Expertise in time-series analysis, statistical modelling, and programming (Python, R, or similar).
  • Proven experience in building models for inflation indices or related macroeconomic variables.
  • Strong understanding of inflation-linked financial products, including bonds and swaps.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
