Experienced Industrial Engineer required for our Client’s site in Huddersfield we're currently looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer with extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes.

This is a fulltime role (37.5 hours/week) most of the work will be done on-site but documentation or other paperwork can be done from home.

The initial assignment duration is 6 months with a possibility of extension.

Working hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3pm (with some flexibility)

About the role:

As an Industrial Engineer in the larger Manufacturing team the majority of your time will be spent on the work floor observing the existing processes , identifying where there is waste and improving manufacturing equipment and processes to decrease this waste.

Must haves for the role:

• extensive knowledge of manufacturing process (not necessarily mechanical)
  
  
• previous experience in Industrial Engineering (line balancing, time study, SMED reduction)
  
  
• Good knowledge of Excel

  Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

  Maintains the application of Cummins standards and develops manufacturing standards.
  
  Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.

  Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

  Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  
  College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.
