Role Description

To monitor, assess and improve the quality of data across systems and processes, ensuring it meets organisational standards and supports strategic andernance goals. The Data Quality Analyst is to ensure that the organisation's data is accurate,plete, consistent and reliable for operational use.

Data Validation & Cleansing: Identify & correct errors or inconsistencies in datasets.
Data Profiling: Analyse data to understand its structure, content, relationships, & quality.
Quality Metrics & Reporting: Track data quality KPIs (,pleteness, accuracy, timeliness).
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate data issues & rmend solutions to prevent recurrence.
Collaboration: Work with data inputters, analysts, & business stakeholders to align on UK & Policing data standards.
Documentation: Maintain data dictionaries, quality rules, & audit trails.

Main Responsibilities

Works under general direction. Uses discretion in identifying & responding toplex issues & assignments. Receives specific direction, accepts guidance & has work reviewed at agreed milestones. Determines when issues should be escalated to a higher level.

Interacts with & influences colleagues. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers & partners. May supervise others or make decisions which impact the work assigned to individuals or phases of projects. Understands & collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs & represents this in their work.

Performs a range of work, sometimesplex and non-routine, in a variety of environments. Applies methodical approach to issue definition & resolution

Demonstrates effectivemunication skills. Plans, schedules & monitors own work (& that of others where applicable)petently within limited deadlines & according to relevant legislation, standards & procedures. Contributes fully to the work of teams. Appreciates how your own role relates to other roles and to the business of the employer or client. Demonstrates an analytical & systematic approach to issue resolution. Takes the initiative in identifying and negotiating appropriate personal development opportunities. Understands how your own role impacts security & demonstrates routine security practice & knowledge required for own work

Experience and Qualifications

Data Profiling: Ability to assess data structure, patterns, & anomalies
T-SQL: Strong ability to query, interrogate, and validate data
Desirable to have working knowledge of RMS (Niche), Pronto & CAD systems
GDPR, Data Protection awareness
Cybersecurity awareness
Excellentmunication, problem-solving
Stakeholder / Customer Engagement & customer service
