Senior Quantitative Analyst

Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Quantitative Strategies team for digital assets. This role will focus on designing and building a new business line centered on delivering innovative trading and market optimization strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies, managing a team of quantitative researchers and developers, and driving execution in a fast-moving and competitive market environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative trading, high-frequency trading (HFT), or market making, with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams. Candidates with expertise in Python and low-latency programming languages such as C++ or Rust are strongly preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the Quantitative Strategies business within Hex Trust Markets
Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand market share
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of quants, developers, and traders
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that emphasizes excellence and growth.
Strategy and Infrastructure Development
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of algorithmic trading strategies
Leverage market data, quantitative models, and cutting-edge technology to enhance strategy performance
Partner with the technology team to develop scalable, robust, and low-latency trading systems
Ensure infrastructure supports real-time execution and optimization of complex strategies
Market Insights
Stay abreast of market trends, evolving dynamics, and emerging technologies to refine strategies
Explore opportunities for diversification and innovation in trading and liquidity solutions
Risk and Compliance
Develop and implement risk management frameworks to ensure the safety and efficiency of trading operations
Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline from a top-tier institution
Extensive experience in quantitative trading, HFT, or market making, ideally in digital assets or other asset classes
Proven track record of building and leading teams of quantitative researchers, developers, and traders
Deep understanding of market microstructure, liquidity dynamics, and algorithmic trading
Strong programming expertise, with proficiency in Python for data analysis and strategy development
Experience with low-latency programming languages such as Rust, particularly for high-performance trading systems
Familiarity with building scalable, real-time trading systems and tools
Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
