Head of Insights and Analytics

As Head of Insights & Analytics you will create and maintain a culture that puts the customer at the heart of our strategy and data at the heart of our decisions.

Our team aims to sustainably and efficiently drive commercial growth through new customer acquisition and driving existing customer engagement across a variety of markets and you will support them by fostering a test & learn culture, visualising data and providing insights.

What you'll do

  • Build and shape the Group Marketing Insight and Analytics function from the ground up, including working with the current architecture and introducing new tools where required to centralise all marketing & customer data
  • Lead and manage the I&A team, managing the relationships with external research and customer data analytics partners. Developing and coaching the analysts to build a team of SMEs who are seen as the analytics centre of excellence for IVCE
  • Refine the overarching marketing customer data, insights and analytics strategy, with a focus on quality, consistency and value-added insight, reducing complexity and noise where possible.
  • Responsible for the Marketing, Insight & Analytics tools, systems and dataflow and the relationships with the agencies that provide them ensuring smooth delivery of the solutions and databases on a daily a basis
  • Deliver qualitative and quantitative insight into customer behaviour, attitudes, desires, and demographics, helping to shape company’s marketing strategy across products, markets (new and existing), sales channels, customer experiences and performance activity
  • Own all Customer & Marketing reporting across channels within the business, ensuring timely delivery of all Weekly, Monthly, Year End & Board reporting

What skills are we looking for

  • A strong background in complex SQL (we use SSMS, but any is fine) and DWHs
  • Analytical software skills and strong understanding of data architecture.
  • Experience of mining, aggregating and interpreting large complex data structures & sets, ideally with multi category, territory and brand retail data
  • The ability to clearly and confidently articulate and present complex ideas/insight in a simple and straight forward way to a range of audiences
  • Ability to focus on the detail, but also grasp the bigger picture is essential. And by understanding that bigger picture, can proactively generate insight to provoke strategic debate
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize across several projects and a large number of varied projects
  • Outstanding relationship management skills to confidently work with a variety of stakeholders, communicating appropriately to different audiences
