Head of Data Management - National Organisation – Central London / Hybrid - £100k+ (DoE) + benefits

We are on the hunt for an experienced Data Management Specialist, with solid experience in data migration, data warehouses and reporting to join a fabulous organisation based in Central London and head up the Data team.

Joining a well-established and successful organisation, the Head of Data Management will drive the long-term data strategy to ensure a data-centric approach is taken by the entire company.

Suitable candidates will be tech savvy with a keen interest in AI and the ability to grasp new and evolving technology quickly and efficiently. Experience leading data teams is essential for this challenging and fast-paced role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and delivering the data strategy for the entire organisation

  • Managing all data related projects

  • Leading a team of data specialists

  • Establishing and facilitating suitable data governance framework

  • Maintaining data security and mitigating risk

  • Supporting GDPR compliance

  • Managing data reporting and analytics

  • Implementing and managing best practice procedures and good data management

    What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive senior level experience in data management including data migration, data warehouses and reporting

  • Strong team leader experience in a fast-paced, professional services environment

  • Excellent technology skills and a keen interest in AI

  • A degree / qualification in a relevant subject is advantageous (IT, Computer Science, Information Security etc)

  • Experience managing vast data sets

  • Data lifecycle management knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience of meeting data governance requirements

  • Solid knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act

  • Excellent project management capabilities

  • Strategic and innovative approach

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and with non-technical colleagues

  • Forward-thinking and collaborative approach

  • Good commercial acumen

  • The ability to quickly gain credibility, be a data management expert and influence at a senior level
