As part of our accelerated digital transformation and the implementation of our new Next Generation BI platform, we are looking for a Head of Data Engineering & Insight to lead our global Business Intelligence organisation. This key leadership role is aligned with our strategy – a modular, cloud-native data-centric architecture designed to democratise data access, strengthen governance, and maximise business value. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Lead the global BI organisation across APAC, EMEA, and the AMERICAS, with direct accountability for strategy, governance, performance, and delivery.

Define, evolve and execute the global BI roadmap in line with our overall technology strategy and business imperatives.

Oversee the transition and integration from legacy BI platforms to the Next Generation BI ecosystem.

Ensure robust data governance, including a centralised data catalogue, data quality, compliance, and access management.

Manage global teams across Data Engineering, Reporting, Data Governance, and Advanced Analytics, fostering an agile, value-driven, and innovation-focused culture.

Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders (Data Owners, Product Owners, Business Leaders) to position data as a core strategic asset.

Oversee BI delivery KPIs, service performance and budgets, ensuring high quality of service and alignment with organisational goals.

Promote a data-driven culture through the adoption of self-service BI and automated reporting/dashboards.

Skills & Experience: 

At least 10 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, with 5+ years in a BI leadership role in a global or matrixed organisation.

Proven expertise in modern BI architecture (Data Lake, EDW, Streaming, APIs, Real-Time & Batch Processing).

Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-based analytics platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Strong knowledge of data governance, cataloguing, security, automation, and self-service analytics.

Excellent leadership and team management skills across distributed and cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and change management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

The Head of Data Engineering & Insight will workwithin a modern, cloud-based BI ecosystem, including: 

Data Integration: Fivetran, HVR, Databricks, Apache Kafka, Google BigQuery, Google Analytics 4

Data Lake & Storage: Databricks Delta Lake, Amazon S3

Data Transformation: dbt Cloud

Data Warehouse: Snowflake

Analytics & Reporting: Power BI, Excel, Snowflake SQL REST API 

Advanced Analytics: Databricks (AI & Machine Learning) 

Governance & Infrastructure:Centralised Data Catalogue & Access Control (Okta)

Job Scheduling & Monitoring (AWS, Splunk)

Agile Data Engineering with centralised code repositories

BI Data Portal: Power BI

Howeverthiscoexistswith a legacytechstack, whichtheHead of Data Engineering & Insight will support thetransitiontothenewarchitecturealready in place. 

Qualifications/Education:

Degree in Computer Science, Data, Engineering or equivalent.

Certifications such as Azure Data Engineer, AWS Big Data, SAFe, or PMP are a plus.
