Senior Director - Head of Data, AI & Software Engineering

Head of Data Engineering - £130,000 - £150,000 + Bonus

Role: Head of Data Engineering

One of our clients is in the market for a new Head of Data Engineering to come on board as the most senior Data figure in the Data Engineering org and help set the strategy across the business.

Having refocused the importance of Data within the company, this organization have now decided that Data is the main priority for the business. However, they have issues in the fact there are currently 5 business units which are without a Data Strategy in terms of how effectively they can access and use disparate data, and that is what a big part of this role is.

As a Head of Data Engineering, you will not only be setting the strategy but also managing a team of up to 5 Senior Data Engineers with scope to grow this.

If this Head of Data Engineering position is of interest to you, we need to see the following:

  • A background in technical hands on Data Engineering positions up to at least Senior but ideally Lead/Staff/Principal level
  • Management of Data Engineers at a variety of levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of setting out and implementing a data strategy across the organization.
  • Technical proficiency with the likes of Databricks, Python, AWS, Azure & more.
  • Outstanding communication skills and stakeholder management stories.
