Let us introduce the role We areseeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as theHead of AI Adoption. The successful candidate will lead theintegration of artificial intelligence technologies across ourorganisation with an emphasis on driving innovation, efficiency,and productivity. The role will lead AI adoption across corporatefunctions, support engineering and operations colleagues drive AIadoption in these critical functions, whilst collaborating andsupporting Science and NTR colleagues with their existinghigh-performance computing (HPC), machine learning (ML) and AIinitiatives. This role requires deep understanding and significantexperience of AI technologies, ideally with application in anengineering or manufacturing environment, and the ability to leadcross-functional teams. Some of the Key Responsibilities:DevelopingAI Strategy: Crafting a comprehensive AI strategy that aligns withthe organization/'s goals and objectives. Stakeholder Engagement:Communicating the benefits and limitations of AI to both technicaland non(1)technical stakeholders to build buy-in and support, leadengagement with key external stakeholders, including MoD,Government, DAICImplementation Roadmap: Creating a detailed roadmapfor AI adoption across a range of use cases, including timelines,necessary infrastructure, tools, and personnelIdentifying UseCases: Collaborating with business leaders to uncover andprioritize AI use cases with high business value andfeasibilityMonitoring and Evaluation: Overseeing AI experiments andprojects to ensure they meet desired outcomes and inform bestpracticesTraining and Enablement: Providing resources, training,and self-service tools to enable both professional and citizendevelopers within the organizationEthical AI Practices: Ensureethical adoption of AI, including ethical risk assessments, as wellas contribute to AWE guidance on AI ethicsStrategy Development:Develop and execute a comprehensive AI adoption strategy alignedwith the company/'s engineering, scientific, and manufacturinggoals. Identify and prioritize AI opportunities to enhanceoperational efficiency, product quality, and customersatisfactionLeadership and Collaboration: Lead a multidisciplinaryteam of AI specialists, data scientists, engineers, andmanufacturing experts from across our organisation. Foster aculture of innovation and continuous improvement within theorganization. Collaborate with other departments, includingOperations, Engineering and Science & High PerformanceComputing (HPC), to ensure seamless AI integrationAIImplementation: Oversee the design, development, and deployment ofAI solutions in engineering and manufacturing processes. Ensure AIsolutions meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems and processes,making data-driven adjustments as necessaryTraining and Support:Provide training and support to AWE employees on AI technologiesand their applications. Ensure AI team members are equipped withthe necessary skills and knowledge to leverage AIeffectivelyResearch and Development: Monitor emerging AI trends andtechnologies relevant to engineering and manufacturing.
