Data Analyst

Our client is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join them on their exciting growth journey. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with extensive experience in financial control and operations within an SME environment. If you’ve successfully automated and streamlined financial processes, you'll bring the expertise needed to help transform and influence a scaling business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the monthly preparation of consolidated financial statements and working papers.
Lead cash flow management and optimisation of financial resources.
Manage financial control frameworks, ensuring process efficiency and compliance.
Oversee transactional finance, payroll, treasury, and cash flow management (AP & AR), transforming and automating these areas.
Audit, Compliance & Tax Strategy:

Ensure audit readiness, lead and coordinate external audits.
Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
Systems & Process Improvement:

Lead the strategic direction of financial systems, ensuring the implementation of best-in-class finance platforms.
Drive finance digital transformation and automation to enhance efficiency. Particularly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and accounting tech.
Work closely with technology teams to enhance data integrity, reporting, and automation across finance functions.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) & Strategic Projects:

Support the Group’s expansion through M&A activities, future funding requirements and post-acquisition integrations.
Implement scalable financial governance and processes for acquired businesses.

Knowledge and Experience

Proven track record of transforming Financial operations for a scalable company
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) – ACA preferred.
Experience with or an understanding of UK GAAP reporting FRED82 (FRS102) and the IFRS equivalents
SME background.
Experience within a PE/VC-backed environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems (particularly Microsoft D365 F&O)
