BGA is a leader in the field of Automotive Aftermarket spares for both the UK and export markets.

As a Graduate Software Developer at BG Automotive, you will be involved in a variety of projects, from building APIs to developing robust software applications. You will design and develop solutions in C#, potentially working with other languages, for applications and systems that help improve business processes. Collaboration with other departments to understand business needs and deliver high-quality software solutions will be a key part of your role. We are looking for someone who is creative, driven, and ready to contribute to impactful projects. What you will do:

  • Develop and maintain ASP .NET APIs.

  • Work on software application development using C# and other languages.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope, design, and deliver software projects.

  • Focus on performance, scalability, and usability of applications.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement software optimizations.

    Required Skills:

  • Recent Graduate, ideally with a 2:1 or above in a Computer Science related degree.

  • Strong proficiency in C# and experience with ASP .NET API development.

  • Knowledge of a scripting language (Preferably Python)

  • Understanding of data querying languages (SQL)

  • Experience with version control tools like Git.

  • Ability to convert complex concepts into functional, high-quality code.

  • Confident in problem-solving and debugging.

  • Good communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

    Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Rust (or eagerness to learn).

  • Knowledge of software architecture and best practices.

  • Experience with business intelligence tools or APIs.

  • Previous experience in developing full-stack web applications.

  • A keen interest in exploring new technologies and frameworks.
