An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast growing, digitally focused business that seamlessly connects thousands of buyers with hundreds of sellers. As the company continues to establish its unique , the data team is expanding and looking for a junior data scientist to join their dynamic environment.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving data-informed decision-making by working with diverse datasets, with a strong emphasis on uncovering customer behaviours and preferences.

Embedded within a small but dynamic team that values collaboration and mentorship, you’ll gain hands-on experience with Python and machine learning techniques building valuable skills while contributing to meaningful business insights.

Responsibilities
  • Assistant in Analysing large customer datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
  • Help Build, maintain, and improve dashboards and reports to monitor key performance and customer-related metrics.
  • Support with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Is detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Your experience and Skills
  • Strong performance with a numerical degree ideally mathematics or economics.
  • Is eager to learn and grown into the field of data
  • A basic proficiency in SQL for data extraction and querying would be useful.
  • Ideally has experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase would be beneficial.
  • Articulate and confident communicator, skilled at conveying complex ideas with clarity and impact
