We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Graduate Data Scientist to join our growing data team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career in a dynamic environment, contribute to impactful projects, and develop their skills in a wide range of data science disciplines. We value diverse experiences and understand that a gap year during university can bring valuable life skills and perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Exploration:

Perform detailed data analysis, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and extract actionable insights from various datasets.
Model Development:

Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of machine learning and statistical models under the guidance of senior data scientists.
Data Visualisation & Reporting:

Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
Data Collection & Preparation:

Support data collection, cleaning, transformation, and validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
SharePoint Collaboration:

Utilise SharePoint for document management, team collaboration, and potentially for data source integration or automation where applicable.
AI Application:

Explore and apply AI/ML techniques to solve business problems, including but not limited to predictive analytics, natural language processing, or computer vision (depending on company focus).
Stakeholder Communication:

Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Continuous Learning:

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, and proactively identify opportunities for skill development.
Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Demonstrable experience with data analysis techniques and methodologies.
Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R).
Experience in creating and publishing interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, particularly its use in collaborative environments or for data management.
Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and algorithms .
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and their data services.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Any practical experience gained during a gap year at university that demonstrates problem-solving, analytical thinking, or transferable skills (e.g., project management, independent learning). Please highlight this in your application if applicable.
