About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
We’re recruiting for a GIS Technician to join our Information Management team based from Milton Keynes, but the role will be hybrid.
This role will primarily focus on supporting the core GIS Team working in the Information Management function.
The work will be varied, from completing data management procedures, to creating and managing a variety of web applications, dashboards, and mobile GIS applications.
You will be required to maintain high data quality standards and follow procedures to support existing processes.
On occasion you will also be required to deliver relevant training sessions and guidance to people across the business from a non-technical background, liaising with your colleagues and promoting the use of GIS across the business.
You will be expected to support the GIS team in the Information Management function as well as manage and update relevant ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise web and mobile applications.

About The Candidate
Demonstrable experience in a similar position and/or a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
Proficient use and knowledge of software such as ESRI suite of applications including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ESRI Field Maps and FME
ESRI ArcGIS Online / Portal for ArcGIS
ESRI Mobile application deployment and support
Knowledge and experience in successful data management
Working knowledge of UK GIS datasets
Knowledge of Metadata standards and their applicationDesirable Experience:

Experience of working within infrastructure or environment disciplines
Experience of programming in either Python, SQL, or VBA
Exposure to ESRI Model Builder or FME, Experience Builder / ArcGIS Arcade
ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE
Use of Projectwise, BIMXtra or other common data environment use
High Speed Two (HS2) project experience
Experience of working with large datasets i.e LiDAR, OS Mastermap
