Senior Full Stack .NET Developer, West Midlands (hybrid, just 2 days per month), £80,000 + Package
A Senior Full Stack Developer (.NET / TypeScript) is needed to join an extremely reputable and well respected organisation based in the West Midlands – my client is purpose led, focused on providing their customers with sustainable solutions.
The new Senior Developer will focus on working with .NET Core as part of the development, and innovation of their customer-facing web platform, which provides access to extensive building cost data and tools, is undergoingmodernisation from a monolithic C# .NET Core application to cutting-edge web technologies like Next.js, React, Node.js, and Kubernetes on Azure.
This is a Full Stack role (weighted more on the backend) and will focus on building new greenfield applications and modernize their existing technology stack. You’ll play a pivotal role in decoupling our legacy system and collaborating with Data Engineers to reshape our data architecture. You'll also lead initiatives such as delivering identity management solutions and building RESTful APIs.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions across the stack, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
- Modernize and optimize existing systems for scalability, performance, and extensibility while working on greenfield projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales, Marketing, and Data, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and uphold best practices in software development.
- Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes, including code quality, performance, observability, testing, security, and CI/CD.
What will make you standout:
- Good understanding and hands-on experience of .NET Core.
- Strong hands-on experience in cloud-native environments with Typescript proficiency and expertise in modern frameworks like Next.js, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven ability to write clean, performant, and well-tested code.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of modern software development processes and best practices.
- Comfort working in a small team and solving complex, ambiguous problems with a positive attitude.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering, database design, optimization, and management (SQL/NoSQL, ETL processes).
- Experience migrating legacy systems to modern architectures and transitioning on-premise applications to the cloud.
