At Roke, we're at the forefront of technology and engineering, serving clients across National Security, Defence, and Industry As a Front-End Web Developer, you'll collaborate closely with our clients to tacklecomplex challengeshead-on, utilizing yourexpertise in JavaScriptto develop dynamic and user-friendly applications.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing impactful user interfaces compatible with various devices and web browsers. Your responsibilities will include managing, maintaining, and enhancing existing web applications while staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software development.
Join ourRoke Intelligence team, where we specialize in analysing open-source intelligence data to discern patterns and relationships, enabling proactive decision-making in response to significant events. Your contributions will directly impact diverse use cases, from military applications to risk analysis for the global maritime economy.
Key Responsibilities:
*Design, develop, and maintain custom AWS hosted web applications using JavaScript.
*Support documentation, testing, code reviews, and QC processes.
*Stay updated on emerging geospatial trends and technologies to continuously improve application functionality.
*Collaborate with data scientists, geospatial analysts, and business development teams to understand requirements and develop innovative solutions.
Required Skills and Experience:
*Proficiency in JavaScript (TypeScript, React).
*A strong understanding of and experience implementing software engineering best practices.
*Experience working in an Agile work environment.
*Experience building web applications in a SaaS / digital product context.
*Proven track record of delivering high-quality outputs within deadlines.
