About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to conduct comprehensive fabric condition surveys across a healthcare estate in Cardiff. This 38-day contract offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in assessing building fabric within a critical healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed fabric condition surveys of various buildings within the healthcare estate.
  • Utilize a tablet device and our bespoke asset capture software to record survey data accurately.
  • Identify and document defects, assess their severity, and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in conducting fabric condition surveys, preferably within healthcare or similar environments.
  • Proficiency in using tablet devices and asset capture software for data collection.
  • Strong understanding of building pathology, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 38 working days.
  • Rate: £300 per day.
  • IR35 Status: This assignment is outside IR35.
