The Best Connection Bedford have a fantastic new opportunity with one of our long-standing clients and are recruiting for an experienced Reach Truck or PPT Operative for their site in Bedford.
The site is very accessible from Bedford and an immediate start is available.
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, rotating shifts 06.00 - 14.00 one week then 14.00 - 22.00 next week
Pay rate: £12.25 per hour, rising to £13.62 after 12 weeks.
Responsibilities of the Reach Truck/PPT FLT Driver:

  • Operating FLT including loading stock onto shelves and storage areas in bound and outbound deliveries
  • Accurately pick stock, load and unload stock in the warehouse/production areas
  • Use Warehouse Management system accurately to update warehouse stock and use reporting functions
  • Wrap pallets, rework stock and prepare orders for dispatch
  • Relevant training may be given if required to work in other areas of the warehouse
  • Follow all health and safety and safe food handling protocol at all times.


Requirements of the FLT driver:

  • Experience on a Reach Truck forklift or PPT with a valid license, in date accredited licence
  • Great team player with excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work to target and on own initiative
  • Able to work Monday to Friday
  • Follow all health and safety protocol at all times
