The role can be based in London or Scotland (hybrid) paying up to c£80,000 basic plus extras.

You will carry expertise in the insurance or banking sectors - with over 5 years of consulting or advisory experience in the insurance or banking industry, ideally combining client delivery and business

Additionally, your understanding of the data governance ecosystem within the insurance or banking sector - shaped by global regulatory demands, global operations, and legacy systems - will be robust.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy:Lead the development of enterprise-wide data strategies, data policies, and operating models, embedding sustainable data management and AI practices while ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards and aligning with sector-specific operational requirements.Data Governance:Advise clients on improving data quality, lineage, and controls to address regulatory gaps, strengthen internal oversight, and enhance data governance capabilities. This includes enabling greater confidence in reporting, analytics, and the adoption of AI.Transformation:Support front and back-office transformation initiatives by improving data architecture to enhance pricing, claims automation, regulatory reporting, customer insights, and risk management. Lead delivery teams on complex change programs, from solution design to managing onshore and offshore technical delivery teams, fostering business insights, transformation, and innovation.AI Integration:Leverage AI and automation to improve scalability and performance in data management and implementation activities, such as data discovery, data quality monitoring, and policy enforcement.Stakeholder Management:Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate policies, strategies, and regulatory expectations. Provide clear recommendations and engage with key stakeholders in both business and technology segments, bringing clarity and direction to senior stakeholders.Project Leadership:Demonstrate the ability to lead engagements and teams effectively to meet key client requirements and regulatory demands. Oversee delivery and foster the growth of diverse and technologically adept teams, integrating AI and technological tools to optimize performance.Change Management:Actively contribute to the execution of business change and risk transformation projects, potentially managing concurrent client programs. Report updates to Senior Managers and above while developing strategies to address complex technical challenges, assisting firms in rethinking their approach to risk and control and implementing effective and lasting change.Client Relationships:Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand engagement with both new and existing clients.

Preferred Skills

Experience within Financial Services Experience in Consulting Experience in transformation programs focused on data maturity and regulatory remediation. Practical knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools. Understanding of AI/ML adoption and governance in insurance or banking. Exposure to cloud data environments and modern data architectures.
