JOB TITLE: Financial Planning & Analysis – Commercial and Residential

EMPLOYING ENTITY: Dutypoint Limited

EMPLOYMENT BASIS: Permanent

LOCATION: Any office with minimum 1 day per week at Gloucester

HOURS OF WORK: 8.30am – 5.00pm Mon-Fri (40 hours per week)

REPORTS TO: FP&A Manager Commercial and Residential

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Support the FP&A Manager with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis team across the Commercial and Residential Divisions. This role is critical in providing financial information and insights, improving decision-making, and supporting business growth. The FP&A Analyst will work closely with the FP&A Manager and divisional leadership to drive financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and develop financial models that enhance business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the financial planning, forecasting and budgeting process across the Commercial and Residential divisions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.

  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) including provision of standard business information to Group Finance.

  • Create and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.

  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends, and provide business insights to divisional management.

  • Undertake variance analysis to compare actual performance against budget and forecasts.

  • Support business units with financial analysis to improve profitability, working capital optimization, cash conversion and capital efficiency.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial impact of business initiatives.

  • Support the identification of risks and opportunities, in conjunction with the FP&A Manager provide recommendations for cost optimization, revenue growth and cash generation.

  • Support the accuracy and integrity of financial data through adherence and improvements across internal controls and best practices.

  • Support the FP&A Manager identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ideally holding a recognised professional accounting qualification or qualification by experience

  • 3+ years of experience across financial planning, budgeting, analysis and controls.

  • Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.

  • Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION:

    We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support the FP&A Manager develop and lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis function aligned to the Commercial and Residential divisions.

    The FP&A Analyst – Commercial and Residential needs to be a self-starting individual who is able to engage with commercial and operational co-workers to provide support and guidance around business initiatives and performance.

    Engagement, tenacity, empathy and a good communication style are critical in the role, as is solid financial acumen including the proven experience in supporting the delivery of process improvements, maintenance of solid internal controls and improving financial performance
