Your Role

Zanders is an international financial consulting organization, working with many financial institutions across the globe. As part of our growth, Zanders is looking to bring on board a strong quantitative risk professional, to join our Risk Advisory Consulting Group in London, UK. The role will focus on client projects in financial crime prevention, development and deployment of Agentic AI solutions and financial risk management.


You will be able to leverage your quantitative and communication skills to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to tackle complex challenges and develop practical solutions for our clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Use programming languages for quantitative analysis (e.g., machine learning, AI techniques, transaction monitoring)
  • Review how clients currently use financial technology, identify best practice improvements, and implement those changes
  • Support clients in developing and validating risk models applied to Financial Crime Prevention and Credit Risk
  • Manage projects successfully and align with client expectations
  • Advance project work by completing assigned tasks, providing client support in a timely manner and presenting analytical reports to senior colleagues or clients
  • Play a key role as the 1st line of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment by assisting and mentoring less experienced colleagues in your area of expertise
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and professional development initiatives

Skills To Be Successful

  • An education in quantitative disciplines or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk modelling (Financial Crime Prevention, Credit Risk, Climate Risk, Non-Financial Risk, Trading Book Risk) at financial institutions or consulting firms
  • Proficiency in Machine Learning, AI technology and programming languages, such as Python, R or SAS
  • Solid understanding of current market practices and familiarity with UK regulations of financial institutions, including fraud, anti-money laundering and transaction monitoring
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience communicating with key stakeholders
  • Innovative and analytical thinking to develop creative and effective solutions
  • Enjoying working as part of a team and at ease with establishing positive connections with people
