The Role

SystemsAccountants are proud to be working with a global PE-backed Financial Services client to recruit a highly analytical and commercially minded Finance Data Analyst.

This role plays a pivotal part in supporting the execution of their technology roadmap, operational improvement initiatives, and data intelligence capabilities. The successful candidate will combine financial acumen with data analysis proficiency, helping to drive strategic initiatives in a fast-paced investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Support team in reporting processes, including fund reporting, data analysis, and FP&A.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of day-to-day financial and operational reporting.
  • Develop insightful commentary on portfolio performance, identifying and explaining key movements in earnings or revenue using supplementary data.
  • Conduct financial analysis of company operating models, industry sectors, and macroeconomic trends.
  • Contribute to the ongoing digitalisation of financial data, improving the value and usability of data across the Group.
  • Participate in system development and implementation projects, including data flow enhancements and automation.
  • Improve existing reports and dashboards; identify opportunities for enhancement and deliver new analytical solutions.

Business & Market Insight

  • Support the development of analytical packs and materials to aid decision-making within core business areas.
  • Carry out investment management industry and market research to identify trends and assess competitive landscapes.

Project and Stakeholder Management

  • Lead or support initiatives across various project areas, collaborating with cross-functional teams on special initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
