As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Finance Controller to oversee and drive financial operations within our growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

    Xero Software Proficiency:

  • Utilise Xero accounting software to record and reconcile financial data accurately and efficiently.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within Xero, including bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and expense tracking.

    Strategic Planning & Budgeting:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and objectives.

  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making and long-term planning.

  • Prepare and manage the company's annual budget, monitoring variances and providing recommendations to improve financial performance.

  • Conduct regular financial forecasting to anticipate potential financial challenges or opportunities.

    Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and summaries to senior management and stakeholders.

    Cash Flow & Risk Management:

  • Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure liquidity and meet financial obligations.

  • Implement effective cash management strategies to optimise working capital.

  • Identify financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.

  • Implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.

    What We’re Looking For

    Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, ideally within a company of similar size and revenue to Trade Mastermind.

    Strong management and leadership experience, with the ability to oversee financial operations and drive strategic growth.

    Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.

    Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
