Job description

The Head of Data and Insight is recruiting a Data Analyst to join the team to assist with the evaluation of strategic projects and to support the continuous improvement of experience and outcomes for all our students. As part of the Finance and Planning department, the post holder will play a major role in being responsive to the Higher Education policy environment and will need to work closely with senior professional services staff, leading academic staff and with data analysis colleagues. 


 


In addition to having relevant knowledge and experience, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with significant interpersonal skills who is able to integrate quickly into a team and contribute fully to its successful operation. 


 


You will be in a team that supports colleagues across the University to make decisions based on evidence-led research and clear datasets. The post-holder will be providing a comprehensive data analysis service, generating insights to enhance the decision-making process within the University. In particular, supporting the delivery of strategic objectives.


 


This role is suited to an ambitious self-starter with experience of strategy impact analysis and who is used to responding to regulatory transformations expected by the Office for Students (OfS) amongst other compliance.


 


The post-holder will be encouraged to remain engaged with the sector and ensure their work is informed by the forefront of best practice.
