They offer a range of cladding and fixing systems to the construction industry and due to their ongoing success within the UK market and becoming recognised as industry leaders for their quality products are now seeking a Fabrication Manager / Production Manager / Warehouse Manager to join their team.

Fabrication / Production Manager Salary & Benefits

Starting salary £45,000 - £55,000

Fabrication / Production Manager Job Overview

Team Management and Supervision:

Oversee and manage the fabrication team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Schedule and allocate work, balancing workloads to maximise efficiency and reduce downtime.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and quality, encouraging team development.
Regular meetings with Ops Manager and sister companies for shared resource and collaboration.

Production and Fabrication:

Participate directly in fabricating facade materials, including cutting, drilling, and assembling components.
Operate machinery including CNC routers and beam saws, ensuring accurate and safe handling.
Produce custom orders based on production drawings, ensuring adherence to client specifications and quality standards.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC):

Establish and manage QA/QC standards, performing regular checks on both processes and products to maintain consistency.
Identify and rectify any deviations from quality standards, implementing corrective actions promptly.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safe work environment.

Workflow and Workload Management:

Develop and implement workflow strategies that enhance production efficiency and meet business objectives.
Regularly review production schedules and make adjustments as necessary to accommodate demand fluctuations.
Monitor and report on production performance, adjusting resource allocation to optimize throughput.

Data Management and Reporting:

Utilise production data to track performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of production output, resource usage, and quality metrics.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless information flow and data integrity.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

Ensure all production equipment, including CNC and beam saws, is regularly inspected, maintained, and operated safely.
Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance as necessary, minimizing operational downtime.

Fabrication / Production Manager Job Requirements

Experience: Hands-on experience in fabrication and production management, ideally in facade or cladding materials.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CNC machinery, beam saws, and other fabrication tools.
Leadership: Proven track record in team management, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to enforce high standards in quality control and safety.
Data Literacy: Comfortable with production data management for reporting and performance optimisation.
Problem-Solving: Resourceful and proactive in identifying and addressing operational challenges.
