Capita has a new opportunity to join our Digital Operations Team as an Experimentation Lead.

The Experimentation Lead will be responsible for web experimentation and optimisation on the TV Licensing website, aiming to enhance user experience, promote self-service and boost conversion rates through strategic, data-informed experimentation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a strong understanding of digital channels. The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills due to close collaboration with both internal and external BBC stakeholders.

This is a full-time permanent role, offering hybrid working arrangements (office working assigned to our Darwen, Lancashire office).

Job Description:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive the Experimentation Pipeline, identifying key areas for experimentation through analysis of both quantitative and qualitative website data (using Contentsquare, User Testing and other platforms) to identify key areas for optimisation.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ideate, identify, implement and analyse web & experiment performance.
  • Proactively develop and execute CRO strategies to optimise the website's performance, focusing on improving conversion rates and reducing drop-off points.
  • Drive forward the delivery of the Digital-First strategy, ensuring that this aligns with wider business challenges and priorities.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives for key website elements such as landing pages, CTAs, and key funnels to enhance user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Ideate, create and implement A/B and multivariate tests on the TV Licensing website (using the Optimizely Experimentation tool).
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to identify conversion rate issues & opportunities.
  • Work with Senior Product Owners to analyse review & present back test outcomes, as well as proactively presenting actionable insights to improve website performance.
  • Work with the Senior Product Owners to assist data-led prioritisation of the experimentation pipeline.
  • Communicate with internal product owners and content leads to ensure timely and smooth implementation of design updates, features and A/B tests, ensuring these align with both user needs and business objectives.

What you'll need to bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in web experimentation and conversion rate optimisation
  • Strong data analysis skills (web analytics, user behaviour analysis, and testing methodologies)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business, to communicate on experimentation initiatives and results
  • Experience of working with and confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of front-end web languages to assist in understanding the practicalities of experiment design
  • Ability to provide clear and actionable design requirements for content leads, ensuring they are understood and delivered efficiently (for example, creation of test briefs)
  • Ability to manage and coordinate requests from both internal and external stakeholders in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise competing workload across the team and wider business
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, proactively suggesting improvements to maintain an innovative edge.
  • Provide UX insights and recommendations for future website enhancements based on performance data and user feedback.
  • (Desirable) Experience with Content Square Analytics platform
  • (Desirable) Experience with the Optimizely platform
  • (Desirable) Proficiency in prototyping designs/UX experience
