Executive Officer - Ministry of Justice

Location: Leeds (Hybrid 2-3 days in the office, the other days working from home)

Pay: £14.09

Job Type: Temporary until 1/12/2025

Sector: Public Sector

Hours: 37 hours a week

About the Role:

The Synergy Programme represents a step change in how we'll deliver corporate functions across MoJ, HO, Defra and DWP, which together make up almost half of the civil service.

The programme's purpose is to enable better public services through better ways of working, supporting more than a quarter of a million officials and public servants who deliver some of the most vital and high-risk public services in our country.

Synergy's mission is to make working lives easier and help deliver crucial public services by providing systems that are smarter, faster, more intuitive, and are designed around the needs of the user.

We're transforming the way we deliver corporate services in government, simplifying the way we do things, joining up functions, and showing how deep the benefits of partnership run.

Synergy's objectives are to:

  • ?simplify and operate through an optimised Shared Services Centre
  • ?improve user experience
  • improve data quality and reporting
  • provide service continuity and foundation for service enhancements
  • demonstrate value for money

    This assignment within the MOJ Synergy PMO Team will be to provide administrative and project support to PMO leads and project leads and projects that will deliver the Synergy programme

    This will include, but is not limited to: -

  • Assist with and maintaining project plans and Plan on a Page documents to support reporting and monitoring
  • Assist in developing and producing project reports and programme reports
  • Responsible for project file management using robust version control.
  • Organise key project meetings and provide secretariat support for board meetings and design authorities including minute taking and action management.
  • Financial tracking - Assist with the monitor of project spend including raising and managing Purchase Orders through SOP.
  • Assist with and maintain risk and issue logs, escalating as appropriate.
  • Support maintenance of all programme resourcing data and resource dashboard.
  • Manage the on boarding and off boarding process for programme resources
  • Rationally manage the PMO mailbox, tracking commissions and coordinating responses to all communications.
    Limited travel will be required.
