Our client is a leading provider of ESG and sustainability data solutions, partnering with top-tier Asset Managers, Wealth Managers, Investment Banks, and Asset Owners. With rapid growth over the past 24 months and ambitious targets ahead, the company offers a comprehensive service platform including ESG ratings, SDG impact analysis, regulatory data solutions, and sustainable investment strategies. The company is part of a major global WealthTech group and is regulated by the FCA.

Position Overview

They are seeking a highly motivated ESG Data Analyst to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and enhancing their proprietary ESG models and leading quantitative research initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in sustainability and a background in finance, statistics, or engineering.

Key Responsibilities

·Design and enhance advanced ESG models assessing corporates, countries, and municipalities.

·Lead quantitative research to develop new ESG insights and inform product innovation.

·Support ESG data sourcing, cleaning, mapping, and visualisation.

·Maintain quality assurance for ESG model inputs and outputs.

·Document existing and new in-house processes for transparency and consistency.

·Identify ESG trends to support model updates and KPI development.

·Contribute to research publications and insights.

·Collaborate on cross-functional projects within the ESG team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·Minimum 1 year of experience in ESG or sustainability-related roles.

·Strong knowledge of ESG investing and issuer-level/portfolio-level ESG data.

·Proficiency in building complex data models, preferably using Python.

·Advanced analytical and statistical capabilities.

·Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

·Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

·Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

·Preferred Skills

·Master’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Management, or Engineering.

·Familiarity with ESG rating frameworks for corporates and sovereign issuers.

·Knowledge of ESG data vendors and ESG regulations (e.g., SFDR).

·Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Python.
