About the job:
The Flow Sales Team currently markets European Single Stock, Index, and V2X, as well as recycling our EXO flow via vanillas into our existing client base and via bank auctions to a panel of banks. This Flow Sales Team covers Pension Funds, Asset managers, Hedge Funds and the Private Banking Sector Globally.
We are looking for a motivated team player not afraid to take initiative on existing and new projects to help grow the Flow business.Role will be a mixture of Front office and Middle office work, with individuals working with senior salespeople (learning) to provide coverage to existing accounts, and must have the potential to grow into a Flow Sales-person role covering and growing Institutional Clients within the team.
In the near term:
Providing prompt pricing to clients in a support capacity, in coordination with Trading and Structuring desks.
Desk execution on RFQ-Hub for Bank Auctions.
Manage crossing of trades, bookings, markitwire (OTC), and any operational support for post trading breaks.
Monitor the settlement and any other post-trade processes, solving any errors or issues with Middle- and Back-Office.
Assist in onboarding new accounts (CTO), setting up accounts in our systems, as well as set-ups required in Markitwire and EGUS.
Assist in the communication with the client to get any required documentation.
Organise with the support of the Marketing and Advertising unit different events and commercial actions with the clients (workshops, breakfasts, etc.).
Coordinate different projects and requests (audits, IT tools implementations, etc.).
Generate operational reports for management and tracking of business targets for Flow business.
In the medium to longer term:
Focus on reinforcing BBVA relationship with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.
Negotiate deals with clients, coordinating with the Trading and Structuring desks, as required.
Originate proactively equity derivatives commercial opportunities and develop own P&L.
Provide specialized service to the clients about equity derivatives market (prices, flows, etc.), offering them tailor-made investment and hedging solutions.
Interact with clients by phone/chat and organise periodic visits together with different Global Markets units (such as Research and Trading) and Bankers.
Support Trading in finding potential buyers/sellers for specific positions of the trading book.
Leverage on the Research and Structuring capabilities to offer an added value service to customers.
Take into account Research/Structuring market/product views and trade ideas to generate equity derivatives’ ideas and proposals.
Support Workstreams targeting North American and Asian accounts.
Comply with both internal and external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenue targets that are set each year in the Institutional Clients Equity Derivatives Sales unit and the Global Equity Derivatives Sales overall budget. Focus on boosting revenues through the commercialization of equity derivatives to the institutional clients under his/her responsibility.
Academic background and Knowledge:
Preferably MBA, or Masters in Finance and related fields, or Quant (Maths, Physics, Engineering).
Knowledge of python programming language.
English fluent.
Spanish, working knowledge of language, for managing operational side of role.
