This is an opportunity to

step into a business ready for change -

where your influence will genuinely shape the way data is used across a highly regulated, client-focused organisation. Youll be part of a senior leadership team, reporting into a newly appointed Chief Architect, with the chance to challenge thinking, drive strategy, and build a high-performing data architecture from the ground up.

What youll be doing:
Youll lead the design and delivery of a robust, scalable data architecture; aligned with business strategy, regulatory obligations, and modern industry standards. This isnt just a technical roleits strategic and collaborative. Youll work closely with engineering, data governance, and leadership teams to ensure information flows smoothly across the business, and that new platforms or technologies are integrated thoughtfully and effectively.

You'll be bringing clarity where there currently isnt muchlaying down the foundations, frameworks, and standards that will guide how data is managed, modelled, and used in the future. That includes setting principles for governance, assessing vendors, and advising on whether data mesh, fabric, or warehousing solutions best suit the business needs. Youll also act as a voice of reason and challeng and be able to hold your own in conversations with engineering and architecture peers.

Theres a healthy appetite for change here, but the environment needs someone with the right level of gravitas, influence and vision to make it happen!!

What experience youll need to apply:
Proven experience as a senior-level/Enterprise Data Architect in a regulated, client-focused environment (ideally financial services)
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality, and compliance
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, and an awareness of the wider vendor landscape (e.g., Adobe, Braze, etc.)
Ability to design and author data architecture standards, models, and strategy
Sound knowledge of modern data architecture approachesdata mesh, fabric, warehouse, etc.
Technical background in data modelling, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and ETL/ELT
Confident challenging and influencing at senior levels
Experience collaborating across technology, engineering, and business leadership
Strong communicator able to translate technical ideas for non-technical stakeholders

What youll get in return:
An excellent salary of up to £120,000 salary a fantastic bonus. They offer flexible working, with a preference of 1-2 days a week in the office in the South West, but can be open to more flexible working.
