HOURS:[Full-time]

WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending atleast two days per week currently, or 40% of our time, at ourHalifaxOffice.

You’ll work withproduct owners to deliver the highest quality customer drivensoftware using modern strategies and cloud-based technologieswhilst continually challenging, motivating, monitoring, andsupporting engineering teams. As a Lead, you’ll contribute acrosskey aspects of delivery from initiation through design and intodelivery and beyond. You’ll possess expert knowledge of multipleapplications, technologies, and business processes across severalplatform domains. You’ll deliver the best technical solutions forcomplex and significant business needs, where no precedent mayexist, whilst ensuring compliance with the Bank’s IT architecturedesign and all regulatory, mandatory, and statutory requirements,always protecting the Bank.

You’ll influencepositively, demonstrating the right values and behaviours, andencouraging this in team members. As a leader and motivator, you’llnurture team members to create a high performing teamculture.

Whatyou’ll need…

  • StrongSoftware Engineering background with experience of deliveringsoftware products and solutions, adhering to enterprisearchitecture principles and design patterns, across the fulldevelopment lifecycle isessential.

  • Data Engineeringand Data product knowledge, leading Data Engineering teams to buildnew Data estate, replacing legacyarchitecture.

  • Expertknowledge of modern development toolset such as Cloud, APIdevelopment, Kafka, APIGEE, JavaScript, Node.JS,DevOps.

  • You’ll be a greatcommunicator with technical and non-technical audiences, fromend-users to senior stakeholders. You will be able to producehigh-quality documentation tailored to youraudience.

  • You will beself-organising and able to prioritise both your own and yourteam’s resources to meet demanding deliverytimeframes.

  • A naturalfacilitator and decision maker, you’ll enable collaboration acrossall teams within thelab.

Itwould be great if youhad…

  • Knowledge ofmortgage products, pricing process andexecution.

  • Experience of anenterprise Dataenvironment

  • Understanding ofbuilding applications through containerized microservices-basedarchitectures.

  • Experiencewith cloud infrastructure, resilience, and security architecturepractices andconcerns.
