About the role


We are seeking a visionary Director of Data Architecture to lead the transformation of our scattered data ecosystem into a modern, scalable, and secure platform. This role will shape the future-state architecture to enable advanced analytics, AI, and seamless data access across the business

Key responsibilities

Define and execute a strategic data architecture roadmap aligned with business priorities.


Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and analytics warehouses.
Modernize legacy systems to ensure scalability, interoperability, and performance.
Champion best practices in data modelling and semantic layer design
Simplify access to data and setup a data products architecture to fulfil BI & Analytics teams needs.
Promote the DIKW framework to support data-driven decision-making.
Support the rollout of data governance and quality tooling.
Enable AI/ML readiness through scalable infrastructure and clean data pipelines.
Collaborate with data science teams to support model deployment and MLOps.
Establish CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems for data reliability and performance.
Deliver a clear “TO BE” architecture recommendation and roadmap with actionable milestones.

About you

Minimum 15 years in data architecture, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.


Extensive experience with AWS, Databricks, Power Platform, and Redshift; Snowflake is a plus.
Proficient in Python, SQL, PowerQuery (M), and ideally Scala or PySpark.
Strong leadership and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Certified in AWS (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect) and CDMP; Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
