Title:DevOps Engineer

Client:Quant Fund – Global collaborative firm run by passionate Computer Scientists

Salary:Up to £160,000 + Bonus/benefits

Location:London (Hybrid)


The role:

The DevOps Engineer will collaborate with my clients in-house trading team to design, develop, and implement optimized code for various elements of the team's development and research infrastructure.


In this position, you will work closely with diverse teams, such as developers, system administrators, quantitative analysts, and traders, to determine and address the infrastructure and operational needs of software initiatives. You will oversee and enhance system performance to maintain reliability, scalability, and security. Additionally, you will stay informed about industry developments and best practices while playing a key role in advancing our DevOps practices.

Successful candidate attributes:

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Software Engineer including at least 2 years as a DevOps Engineer
  • Excellent knowledge of build tools, in particular for C++.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Excellent knowledge with cloud technologies, containers and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python and Bash
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, adaptable, and pressured environment.
