Job Title: Deputy - Data Systems

Location: London,UK ( Hybrid )

Reporting Into: Head Of Data Management

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join a leading organisation in the asset management services sector. This role involves driving the development of automated fund data ingestion portals and intuitive data management tools using cutting-edge cloud technologies. You will lead a talented team focused on creating innovative products that enhance and visualise data quality and insights, while ensuring real-time data updates for regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
Manage complex data technology projects with internal and external cross-functional teams to deliver new services tailored for Asset Managers.
Technology Roadmap Contribution:
Contribute to the organisation's technology roadmap, ensuring that strategic decisions are founded on innovation, security, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and utilisation.
Data Onboarding Development:
Oversee the creation of an AI-powered data onboarding portal, enabling clients to upload their custom files and providing mapping and visualisations regarding data coverage and quality.
Analytics Product Development:
Lead the development of the "My Data Insights" analytics product, allowing clients to conduct peer comparisons, generate compliance heatmaps, and gain market insights.
Scaling Data Architecture:
Simplify complex data flows and calculations in response to recent M&As, moving towards a future state-federated architecture for data processing, storage, and provisioning.
Real-Time Data Notifications:
Ensure systems are in place for real-time notifications about data updates, facilitating timely production of regulatory reports and other essential documentation.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a diverse team in data and cloud technologies, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while promoting agile software development practices.

Your Profile: To succeed in this role, you should possess:

Proven experience in data and cloud technologies, with a strong background in agile software development and team management.
A track record of translating strategic technology visions into effective tactical delivery and operational outcomes.
Ability to manage and influence multidisciplinary and multicultural teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
Experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments.
Fluent in English (written and spoken) with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong logical reasoning, a structured approach to work, and the ability to prioritise across multiple projects and workstreams.
Knowledge of asset management services and financial instruments is a distinct advantage.
