The Data Visualization Specialist will support the Aeronautical Safety Office (SFA) at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) with business and mission operations by creating decision-analytics via data visualizations, and helping the office manage, optimize, and mature their data processes. This role will be part of a small team support SFA in a variety of IT and analytics capacities.

Specific duties include but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain data visualizations in software such as Tableau regarding SFA’s operations and performance
  • Administer, maintain, develop, and implement improvements to SharePoint sites and sub sites on NGANet (COE) and SBU
  • Maintain and augment web sites to include daily updates to application functionality in support of requests
  • Perform SharePoint Site Collection Services including, but not limited to, creating and configuring new site collections
  • Set permissions of site collections in accordance with the SharePoint Security Model
  • Assess, recommend improvements to, and deliver an updated version of the SharePoint Security Model
  • Create and modify site templates, to include the development of Style Sheets.
  • Monitor SharePoint sizing and usage limitations, to include developing and implementing solutions to avoid sizing threshold breaches and site performance problems
  • Submit requirements within Service+ for any compute, storage, database, SharePoint, or Tableau infrastructure provisioning to be fulfilled by the UDS contractor

What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED “TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)” Federal or DoD security clearance; Once onboard with Guidehouse, new hire MUST be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree; FIVE (5) years of additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s
  • ONE (1+) plus years of relevant data visualization experience in Department of Defense/Intelligence Community environment
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Tableau to produce graphics and reports
  • Experience creating and customizing Tableau dashboards
  • 5 days/week at client site

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) polygraph
  • Preference will be given to candidates currently residing within reasonable driving distance of client site location in St. Louis, MO
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities; experience communicating analysis and demoing visualizations to Senior leaders.
  • Experience utilizing SharePoint Development to produce and edit site pages, document libraries, and dashboards (REST API, Web Data Connector, Extensions API)
  • Additional experience with one or more of the following: Tableau Desktop, Tableau Creator, Tableau Server, or Tableau Prep
  • Understanding of effective data management and data visualization project documentation such as SOPs, data definitions/dictionaries, data process flows, Confluence pages
