Our Data, AI, Solutions & Engineering practice is seeking experienced Data Strategy and Management consultants from Senior Manager to Director, ideally with a Financial Services background, to join the team. We help clients solve complex problems with data by developing practical and high-impact data strategies; designing and implementing data operating models; creating actionable insights; embedding machine learning solutions; and building data platforms. Our team offers deep expertise across Data Strategy, Data Science & Engineering, Data Visualization, Data Management, Data Architecture and Software Development.

What You Will Be Doing


You will use your deep expertise in data and AI to help clients solve their most important business challenges and support the growth of our team. You will be part of the leadership team, shaping the direction of the practice, growing the business and leading our people. As a senior leader, your responsibilities will include:



  • Shaping solutions to complex data and AI challenges for clients
  • Leading delivery of large, high-impact data and AI transformations
  • Acting as senior lead on engagements, building trusted client relationships and driving commercial opportunities
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of Baringa’s growth strategy
  • Coaching, mentoring, and advising junior colleagues on data and AI best practices
  • Developing our team and acquiring top talent

Typical Engagements Include



  • Developing tailored data and AI strategies that meet client needs and drive transformational value
  • Leading delivery of data and AI strategies, including building teams, delivering value-focused use cases, and implementing data solutions from sourcing to value delivery
  • Designing practical data & AI governance, data management frameworks and data architectures
  • Performing maturity assessments of clients’ data management, analytics and AI capabilities to identify value opportunities
  • Delivering targeted uplift of data and AI capabilities with improved governance and data quality, metadata, AI models, lineage and reporting
  • Implementing agile data management delivery approaches to iteratively deliver value
  • Remediating data quality issues and root causes
  • Collaborating with technology teams to automate data management activities and integrate data governance into pipelines and cloud platforms as code

Your Skills And Experience



  • Previous consulting and/or industry experience in leading data strategy and practical delivery of data management, analytics and AI capabilities
  • Expertise in data strategy, governance, data management and AI (data quality, metadata, master data, data modelling, data standards, data architecture, reporting and insights)
  • Understanding of risks and controls for data management, AI and privacy
  • Experience embedding governance and data capabilities in complex environments
  • Experience leading data quality management and data profiling efforts
  • Broad knowledge of database designs, schemas and data mapping
  • Experience with tools supporting data governance, quality, metadata, observability, visualization/reporting, analytics and AI
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex technical information for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building and people skills; collaborative mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Relevant experience or degrees (e.g., information management, computer science, mathematics). We welcome diverse backgrounds.
