Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Strategy Consultant who combines strong analytical capabilities with client-facing experience to join our data team. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to identify strategic growth opportunities, deliver actionable insights, while advising on digital transformation and process optimisation. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with consultancy experience and the ability to communicate technical concepts in a way that resonates with diverse stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with and manage stakeholders
  • Act as a trusted consultant to clients, identifying opportunities for business growth and digital innovation
  • Translate client business goals into a strategic blueprint
  • Analyse existing systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement
  • Support bid writing and proposal development for new projects
  • Identify and scope work opportunities with clients, aligning with strategic objectives
  • Understand and advise on digital process lifecycles
  • Perform data analysis, including ETL processes and dashboard development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, analysts, scientists, UI/UX designers) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, layman-friendly language
  • Deliver compelling data storytelling to influence decision-making.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and consultancy
  • Technical and entrepreneurial understanding of business processes and needs
  • Strong data analysis skills, including ETL and dashboarding
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of systems, system architecture and the Azure stack
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to simplify technical language for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in identifying strategic growth opportunities for businesses
  • Team-oriented mindset with experience working in multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Skills

  • Awareness of emerging digital technologies and trends
  • Experience in bid writing and business development
  • Knowledge of data storytelling techniques and best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and data integration
