Data Strategy and Transformation – Senior Consultant (Manager)
Location: London (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Data & Analytics | Type: Permanent

The Role
Capco is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Data Strategy & Advisory team. In this role, you will help global financial services institutions define clear, actionable data strategies that translate into measurable outcomes. You will guide clients through maturity assessments, pain point analyses, and operating model design, enabling sustainable data transformation and business value.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the definition of data strategies, roadmaps, business cases and data vision statements
  • Conduct capability and maturity assessments to identify gaps and prioritise interventions
  • Define Target Operating Models (TOMs) across data governance, quality, roles and processes
  • Provide recommendations for improving data processes, tooling and architecture effectiveness
  • Contribute to capability development, training and internal proposition design at Capco
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in data strategy or data management roles
  • Strong knowledge of data frameworks (e.g. DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC) and data principles
  • Proven ability to design strategic assessments, facilitate workshops and deliver stakeholder insights
  • Experience defining target-state processes, governance structures, and capability models
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, including PowerPoint and Excel fluency
Bonus Points For
  • Background in Financial Services (e.g. banking, insurance, investment management)
  • Hands-on knowledge of data tooling (e.g. Collibra, Solidatus, Ataccama) or BI platforms
  • Familiarity with regulatory and ESG contexts such as LIBOR, GDPR or Consumer Duty
  • Experience working in consulting or internal transformation teams
  • Formal certification in data governance or strategic data methodologies
