Are you a data geek? As our Data Analyst Intern, you’ll turn raw data into actionable insights through statistical analysis, database creation, and workflow automation. You’ll work on projects related to natural capital, biodiversity monitoring, and spatial data. Your work will help us measure the impact of our conservation efforts and shape future strategies for landscape restoration.
At Oxygen Conservation, we believe in empowering those who see the world differently. We’re looking for people who challenge the norm, think creatively, and share our passion for protecting and restoring the natural world. If you want to make a real difference and contribute to a meaningful mission, we have five incredible roles available for the 2025 internship programme.
Our intern programme offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in groundbreaking conservation projects, work with a passionate team, and help us deliver positive environmental and social impact. You will work with a dedicated mentor who will support your learning and development in a fun, collaborative, and inclusive who take work, but not themselves, seriously. If you’re ready for an adventure, we want to hear from you!
ABOUT YOU
We believe in recruiting exceptional people and creating the role that allows you to do incredible things. We are committed to having a genuinely diverse team drawn from across the country, with a wide range of lived and learnt experiences. We will help you refine and develop your skills by visiting amazing landscapes and working with exceptional people who genuinely care about your learning and development.
We’d love to hear from you, whoever you are, whatever your background, if you think you can make a real difference to Oxygen Conservation. It doesn’t matter what point in your career you are at, what school you went to, or whether you have a degree or not, we want exceptional people with a desire to make a difference.
Some of the characteristics you may have are:
- Passion for adventure, the environment, and achieving real impact.
- A love for the natural world and rural environment, and a commitment to its ecological restoration.
- Proactive, hardworking, dedicated, and self-motivated.
- A want to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel to rural locations at short notice and willingness to work in an outdoor environment throughout the year. Though we will cover all travel and subsistence costs throughout your internship.
- And let’s be honest, you have to be really nice too. Sharing snacks on long journeys or a packed lunch whilst out driving in the rain is mandatory!
ABOUT US
Oxygen Conservation was founded in 2021 by Dr Rich Stockdale and Oxygen House Group with the mission of Scaling Conservation. We buy land at scale to deliver positive environmental and social impact, generating profit as a result, not as the purpose, of what we do. We have acquired ten sites totalling more than 27,000 acres. Our goal is to deploy capital to protect and restore 250,000 acres of land by 2030.
We were proud to be named ‘Start Up of the Year’ at the 2022 Business Leader South West Awards and awarded the ‘Team of the Year’ at the 2023 Edie Awards. Our founder and Managing Director, Rich, is featured in the ENDS Power List 2023, which names the 100 UK environmental professions who have made the greatest impact in the past two years.
