Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our team. You will contribute to designing, building, and maintaining our data analytics systems and machine learning models, and will spearhead data science projects for internal users and our customers.

• Efficient use of big data
• Understanding the Internet of Things
• Data analytics for internal and external users

What you will be doing

• Work with large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Contribute to data analytics and machine learning projects
• Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms
• Take projects from research stage through to production
• Work with data storage systems, including MariaDB databases and data warehouses
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability, ensuring efficient use of computational resources
• Continuously improve data pipeline processes and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions
• Analyze data and present results clearly to meet business needs

What we're looking for

• Fluency in data analysis and machine learning concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience building machine learning models
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Ability to learn new languages and systems
• Experience with data manipulation and cleaning using tools such as Pandas
• Experience with SQL databases
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to haves

• Master's or PhD degree in relevant topics
• Experience working on Debian Linux
