Job Title: Data Scientist- 12 months fix term contract

Salary: From £50,000 - £58,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Peterborough

Our vision is to enable stabilization and fact-based decision-making by harnessing the power of data. As part of this exciting journey, you will contribute to multiple projects focused on data quality and transformation. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact and influence the future of data within IPSD-M.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) processes for various projects tied to current and future ERP systems.

  • Automate data validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards for actionable insights.

  • Establish data cataloguing systems to enhance accessibility and organization.

  • Provide Alteryx Admin support to optimize workflows and processes.

  • Collaborate with business teams to deliver data analytics solutions for diverse use cases.

What you Have:

Business Statistics: Knowledge of the statistical tools, processes, and practices to describe business results in measurable scales; ability to use statistical tools and processes to assist in making business decisions.

  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.

  • Analytical mindset with a tenacious approach to problem-solving.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Proficiency in Alteryx, Tableau, and Microsoft Power platforms.

  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, analysing, and managing data across relational databases.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Query and Database Access Tools: Knowledge of data management systems; ability to use, support and access facilities for searching, extracting and formatting data for further use.

  • Experience in change management, including coordinating multiple stakeholders through project lifecycles from conception to completion.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or transaction-heavy roles involving high volumes of data flows.

  • Knowledge of cloud database warehousing

Additional Information

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
