Job Description & Summary

The AI and Emerging Technologies team develops AI solutions to solve complex problems for PwC and its clients.

Our team works at the forefront of AI and ML in professional services, across industries such as healthcare, financial services, and more.

We seek motivated, self-starting individuals with 2+ years of data science experience, comfortable with ambiguity and working in cross-functional environments, across our offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, and London.

Duties

What your days will look like:

  1. Solution Development: Design, develop, and scale AI and NLP solutions addressing specific business needs, understanding requirements, assessing feasibility, selecting techniques, and creating scalable solutions.
  2. AI Strategy: Contribute to AI strategy by identifying opportunities for leveraging AI to innovate, improve processes, and support decision-making, including staying updated on AI trends and conducting market research.
  3. Model Development and Evaluation: Develop, deploy, and evaluate AI models, choosing appropriate algorithms, optimizing performance, and ensuring models meet accuracy and reliability standards.
  4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand needs, gather requirements, and align AI solutions with organizational goals.
  5. Prototype, develop, and deploy machine learning applications into production.
  6. Contribute to business-facing AI applications and ensure high-quality code contributions.
  7. Validate and test production models.
  8. Present findings to stakeholders via reports and presentations.

    Requirements

    This role is for you if:

  • Proficiency in Python for API and model development, including frameworks like Sklearn, Pytorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, Spark, SQL).
  • Experience with version control (Git).
  • Cloud experience (Azure, GCP, AWS).
  • Additional desirable skills include:
  • Modeling experience in industry-relevant use cases.
  • Familiarity with MLOps environments.
  • Experience with simulation and optimization techniques.
