Job Description

Job Title:Data Scientist

Salary:Up to £95k + bonus

Location:London (3x in office)

I am exclusively partnering with a growing hedge fund in the UK to support their search for aData Scientist.

This is a high-impact role where you'll apply cutting-edge NLP, LLMs, and generative AI to real-world business challenges. From automating internal workflows to building AI-first tools that uncover new insights, your work will directly influence how the organisation operates and grows.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy AI-driven tools that improve internal efficiency and drive business impact
  • Enhance and automate processes using NLP, LLMs, and generative AI
  • Partner with teams across the business to identify and deliver high-value AI use cases
  • Evaluate and experiment with emerging open-source models and tools (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, DeepSeek)
  • Design and maintain RAG pipelines and retrieval systems using unstructured data (e.g., PDFs, images, emails)
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects with the Head of Data Science and scale successful solutions into production

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with Python for data science and machine learning
  • Strong background in NLP, machine learning, and hands-on work with open-source LLMs
  • Experience building RAG pipelines and working with vector databases and embeddings
