Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Data Scientist who’s passionate about using data to drive growth, player retention, and operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in analysing user behaviour, optimising our games, and ensuring we provide a fair and engaging experience for all players.


How You’ll Contribute as theData Scientist:

  • Player Retention & Engagement:
  • Analyse player data to identify drop-off points and design actionable strategies to keep users coming back and playing more games.
  • Revenue Growth:
  • Use data-driven insights to increase average games played per month and overall revenues.
  • User Segmentation:
  • Identify and profile different user segments, uncovering behavioural patterns to inform tailored marketing and product strategies.
  • Fraud & Risk Detection:
  • Detect and flag suspicious behaviours, such as multiple account creation or abnormal winning patterns, to protect our community and business.
  • Onboarding & Payments:
  • Analyse and improve the signup and deposit funnels, reducing friction and boosting conversion rates.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to turn insights into product features and campaigns.


Preferred Qualifications for theData Scientist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar) is required.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is a strong plus, especially with hands-on experience in gaming, betting, or consumer apps.
  • Equivalent professional experience (2+ years in a similar analytics or data science role) will also be considered in place of an advanced degree if you can demonstrate direct impact in similar environments.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytics role (gaming, betting, or consumer apps is a big plus)
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python or R, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and segmentation techniques
  • Understanding of user behaviour analytics, retention metrics, and A/B testing
  • Bonus: Experience with fraud detection or risk analytics
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a genuine passion for solving business problems with data
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
