Role Description

This is a full-time Data Scientist role with Newton Research, Inc. This role requires the candidate to work at our offices in Needham, MA. The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing production-level data models and algorithms, analyzing data, designing experiments, and interpreting results. The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring other data scientists, and presenting findings to stakeholders. We value self-motivated individuals who enjoy working on small teams in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience integrating advanced mathematics and statistical models into business applications
  • Strong capabilities to visualize and analyze data as well as ability communicate your results to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated background in problem solving and systematic thinking.
  • Proficient in Python and its associated data science libraries (e.g., pandas, sci-kit learn)
  • Experience writing SQL queries and working with both relational and non-relational databases
  • Comfort using modern software development tools and best practices (e.g., git, IDEs, code reviews)
  • Experience using machine learning and deep learning algorithms in applications settings
  • Experience in machine learning and deep learning
  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • Experience in media, marketing, advertising or a related industry is a plus
  • Experience working with product, engineering and/or client-facing teams is a plus
