Degree Apprentice – Data Science & Business Analytics


Location:Welshpool, Powys

Salary:£18,500 per annum (with annual increases)

Start Date:September 2025 (flexible for the right candidate)


About the Role

Are you passionate about maths, computer science, and solving real business problems?

Do you have strong A-levels (ideally including Maths, Computer Science, or a related subject) and want to earn a degree while building your career?

SWG Construction is looking for an ambitious Degree Apprentice to join our growing team and play a key role in helping us make the most of our business data.


What You’ll Do

  • Use the latest tools (Power BI, Excel, Python, SQL) to analyse and interpret business data
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports for senior management
  • Help us improve the way we collect, store, and use information across the business
  • Work on real business challenges, no two days will be the same!
  • Study one day per week for your degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related subject, fully funded by us


Who We’re Looking For

  • Predicted or achieved strong A-levels (ideally including Maths, Computer Science, Physics, or similar)
  • Logical thinker with a genuine interest in technology, problem-solving, and working with data
  • Good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team but can also work independently
  • Eager to learn and ready to take on real responsibility from day one
