Job Title                     Data Science & Advanced Analytics Lead Function:                   Finance & TradingLocation:                    Nottingham/HybridContract type:           PermanentSalary:                        £62,622 with potential to rise to £73,673 over 3 yearsClosing Date:            Tuesday 28th January 2025NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Data Science & Advanced Analytics Lead to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.We are seeking a strategic and experienced Data Science & Advanced Analytics Lead who will be responsible for analysing data to draw insights, patterns and conclusions that will enable the business to improve their products, services, processes or to develop new strategies. The suitable candidate must be adept at handling large, complex datasets and developing and applying robust analytical processes including data cleaning, data interpretation models, forecasting, pattern identification and trend analysis. As well as studying product and process-related data, they may also be involved in studying environmental conditions in which the firm operates, competitor behaviour, or other data sources. Every day you will … Create well defined road maps that align predictive analytics projects with business needs, leading cross-functional teams in the implementation and ongoing use of advanced and predictive analytics software, tools and functionalities. Perform complex statistical analysis and be able to utilise modelling and testing techniques to enable data analysis. Create complex algo rhythms that identify patterns in structured data, and manage data preparation in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders. Contribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates.  Lead on identifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends and translating those insights into actionable recommendations. Strong understanding of statistical methods and the ability to build predictive models. Knowledge of advanced AI techniques and deep learning models. Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
