Job Opportunity: Data Quality Engineer

Contract:Until March 2026 (with potential extension)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data acquisition, validation, pipeline development, storage, and visualisation.
  • Conduct data quality reviews to support programme targets and validate technologies.
  • Develop and maintain in-house data tools, calculations, and parameterisation processes.
  • Ensure test facilities deliver repeatable and regulation-compliant measurements.
  • Lead correlation exercises across test operations and facilities.
  • Continuously improve measurement quality through equipment and method reviews.
  • Analyse test results and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate on projects to enhance test bed consistency and repeatability.
  • Support team KPIs and recommend improvements to enhance data quality.
  • Research and implement best practices in data quality and test field efficiency.
  • Mentor and coach team members in data validation and management techniques.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in natural science, mathematics, engineering, or computing.
  • Proficiency in programming (preferably Python).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) for data systems and pipelines.
  • Strong data analysis skills including hypothesis testing and uncertainty analysis.
  • Ability to influence engineering decisions through data insights.
  • Familiarity with physical measurement equipment and KPI development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Academic thesis or project in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of engineering and legislative measurement techniques.
  • Experience in measurement science and equipment sensitivity.
