Senior Data Quality Specialist – Investment Management

We are supporting a highly regarded investment firm in the appointment of a Senior Data Quality Specialist to help define and deliver enterprise-level data quality capabilities. This is a newly created role within a growing data function and offers the opportunity to shape a key element of the firm’s long-term data strategy.


Role Overview

This is a strategic and delivery-focused position, responsible for designing and embedding data quality frameworks, tools, and processes across investment operations. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data governance, and technology teams to ensure investment data is consistently accurate, reliable, and aligned to evolving business needs.


Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of data quality initiatives in line with organisational priorities
  • Establish and monitor key data quality metrics, controls, and reporting mechanisms
  • Collaborate with business data owners and stewards to implement and oversee quality processes
  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of data quality tooling and platforms
  • Support the integration of quality standards into wider transformation and change programmes
  • Engage with third-party vendors to ensure data integrity and effective control frameworks
  • Promote best practice and drive a culture of accountability and excellence in data quality


Candidate Profile

  • Strong experience in investment management, with an understanding of data flows across front, middle, and back office functions
  • Proven track record in establishing and managing data quality controls, frameworks, and remediation activities
  • Skilled in data analysis, profiling, and reporting; confident working with large datasets
  • Familiar with enterprise data platforms, tooling, and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into business impact
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and comfortable operating in both strategic and hands-on capacities
  • Experience working in or alongside large-scale data transformation programmes is advantageous
