Job Description

The Team and Role:

The 1st Line Risk Team extends across the regulated and non-regulated mortgage business activities. This team is responsible for providing the 1st Line business areas with appropriate training, support, assistance and advice in order to empower effective risk management.

The focus of this role is to review funded loans to ensure that critical data fields have been populated accurately. The Data Quality Team was established in 2024 to provide rigor over data quality of all new lending files.

Typical duties include:

Deliver effective monitoring in line with the scope of the Quality Control Framework. Accurately grade quality assessments in line with classifications detailed in Quality Control scoring metrics with a clear and appropriate rationale for outcome provided Summarise and articulate issues identified confidently and concisely  Provide detailed and constructive feedback to colleagues to enhance skills and embed best practice Build strong stakeholder relationships in order to influence and advocate change to mitigate risk identified from quality assessments

Qualifications

Candidates with a combination of the following skills and experience will be highly regarded:

Able to analyse data and present findings Planning and organisational skills Attention to detail Ability to manage own workload Ability to provide feedback in a constructive manner Communication Skills Experience of managing stakeholders A working understanding of underwriting and/or mortgage processing would be great (not essential)
